Reiner kids make no mention of brother Nick as they break silence on ‘unimaginable’ murder of dad Rob and mom Michele

Two of Rob Reiner’s grieving children called their slain parents their “best friends” – and did not mention their brother who is accused of killing them – in a heartfelt statement Wednesday.

“Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day,” said Jake and Romy Reiner.

“The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends.”

The pair added they “are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness, and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life.”

Jake Reiner is the oldest of the trio while Romy is the youngest and only daughter.

“We now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave,” Jake and Romy concluded in Wednesday’s statement.

The message comes as their middle sibling, Nick, briefly appeared in court Wednesday morning after he was officially booked on a pair of first-degree murder charges.

His arraignment was pushed back to Jan. 7 as he was remanded back into custody.

The troubled middle child is accused of fatally stabbing both Rob, 78, and Michele Singer Reiner, 70, inside their Brentwood estate early Sunday.

Romy Reiner stumbled on the gruesome scene when she saw her father’s body inside his Brentwood home, according to the New York Times.

She reportedly ran out of the massive home, and was only told later by first responders that her mother was also dead.

Nick, who’s struggled with drug addiction, was later captured that night with footage showing cops moving in on the suspect and arresting him without incident.

Further details about what led to the murders haven’t been released, but sources claimed Nick and his parents got into an argument at Conan O’Brien’s holiday party Saturday night.

His behavior also caught the attention of other guests at the party, sources reportedly said.
