Newly released Ring doorbell footage is raising even more questions in the disappearance of 39-year-old Elena Moore.
According to reports, the footage was captured about a week before Elena vanished. In the video, Elena is seen approaching an apartment after a DoorDash delivery was made. She reportedly picked up a food order that did not belong to her, appeared confused while reading the receipt, and eventually handed the food to the resident when they answered the door. At one point, she also appeared to attempt to walk inside before realizing it was not the residence she was looking for.
The couple who encountered Elena later told police she seemed disoriented and “not all there mentally.”
This footage comes as investigators continue searching for Elena, who was last seen on June 11 after leaving Planet Fitness in Lexington, South Carolina. Additional surveillance footage released this week shows her walking through a Publix parking lot later that evening, and authorities say she was last known to be heading toward a wooded area near Old Cherokee Road.
At this time, there is no evidence linking the Ring footage to Elena’s disappearance, but many are questioning whether it could provide insight into her state of mind in the days leading up to her going missing.

The search for 39-year-old Elena Katherine Moore has come to a heartbreaking end.
During a press conference Wednesday evening, the Lexington Police Department announced that Moore’s body was located at approximately 2:48 p.m. after investigators received a tip that directed them to a specific area. Authorities said that information prompted a search, which ultimately led to the discovery of Moore’s body.
Moore had been missing since June 12 after she was last seen leaving Planet Fitness in Lexington and walking toward a wooded area behind a nearby Lowe’s Home Improvement store. Her disappearance sparked an extensive search involving law enforcement, emergency responders, and concerned members of the community.
At this time, Elena’s cause of death remains unknown.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, commonly known as SLED, has assumed responsibility for the death investigation and will work to determine how she died and whether any criminal activity was involved. Officials have not released any information indicating whether foul play is suspected.
Last night, a report circulated on social media regarding possible sightings of a woman matching Moore’s description. While police have confirmed that a tip led them to the area where her body was found, they have not publicly identified the source of that information or disclosed additional details about the tip.
As investigators work to determine what happened, family, friends, and community members are mourning a life lost far too soon and hoping the investigation will provide the answers they have been desperately seeking.
