Search Continues for Missing Mississippi Teen Last Seen Near Horn Island

An extensive search remains underway for a Mississippi teenager who disappeared near Horn Island during the Fourth of July holiday weekend, as authorities and volunteers continue working to locate him.

Nolan Wells was last seen at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, near the western tip on the north side of Horn Island. According to his family, he was wearing blue swim shorts and sunglasses when he was last seen.

Authorities have not confirmed whether Nolan ever made it back to shore, and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear.

By Sunday afternoon, more than 24 hours had passed since Nolan was last seen. Search crews have continued combing the area while family members, friends, and members of the community hold onto hope for his safe return. Loved ones are asking the public to keep Nolan in their thoughts and prayers as the search continues.

Investigators are also urging anyone who may have been boating near Horn Island on July 4 to come forward. Officials are especially interested in speaking with anyone who believes they may have seen Nolan or may have given him a ride that day.
