More photos have been released from financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s estate.

The 68 images include Epstein pictured with influential academics, tech leaders and political figures. There also maps of his estate, messages written on a person’s body and redacted identity documents.

The BBC reported that some of the passports are for women from Russia, Czech Republic, South Africa, Ukraine and Lithuania.

Documents are being released by the Democrats’ House of Oversight Committee due to a subpoena.

The release is part of an effort to bring more transparency to materials connected to Epstein’s network and the federal investigations surrounding him.

The Justice Department faces a Friday deadline to release the so-called “Epstein files”.

Their release has long been demanded by a public hungry to learn whether any of Epstein’s rich and powerful associates knew about – or participated in – abuse. Epstein’s accusers have also long sought answers about why federal authorities shut down their initial investigation into the allegations in 2008.

Bowing to political pressure from fellow Republicans, Trump on November 19 signed a bill giving the Justice Department 30 days to release most of its files and communications related to Epstein, including information about the investigation into Epstein’s death in a federal jail.

The Justice Department hasn’t said exactly when during the day it intends to make the records public.

Previously released images released by House Democrats show pictures of Epstein with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sir Richard Branson.

Two pictures released on Thursday depict tech giant Bill Gates, who co-founded Microsoft, standing next to a woman who has had her face blacked out by the Oversight Committee.

Appearing in a photo does not suggest there has been any wrongdoing. Many who have appeared in images or files related to Epstein have denied wrongdoing.

Mr Gates had told CNN that he regretted hanging out with the disgraced financier. They had “several dinners” together to discuss philanthropy projects that did not come to fruition.

Linguistic professor and political commentator Noam Chomsky, 97, was pictured chatting to Epstein on a plane. The linguist had previously told The Wall Street Journal: “I knew him and we met occasionally”.

President Donald Trump’s former advisor Steve Bannon is also seen in the images. He is sitting across from Epstein in a study.

Multiple photos show words written on a person’s foot and stomach. One photo shows Vladimir Naboklov’s book Lolita – the controversial novel about a girl being groomed by an older professor – in the background behind the person’s foot.

A message on the person’s foot said: “She was Lo, plain Lo, in the morning, standing four feet ten in one sock.”

Another photo shows the words: “She was Lola in slacks.”

There was also a screenshot of a text exchange where a person is talking about sending girls. It’s not clear who the messages are being sent from and to.

In the messages, the person requested to “send someone else” and that it costs “$1000 per girl”.

In a statement on X, Oversight Democrats said: “We will continue releasing photographs and documents to provide transparency for the American people. It’s time for the Department of Justice to release the files.”

While he was in prison waiting for a trial on sex trafficking in 2019, Epstein was found dead. The death was ruled a suicide.
