April is proving to be a very interesting month for Paramount+, as the streamer is having some “issues” with its content. If you haven’t heard by now, the highly anticipated animated film, The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, leaked in full all over social media on April 12. After the rollout of the film was changed from a theatrical debut, it wasn’t supposed to premiere on Paramount+ until October 9. All things considered, this appeared to be a huge leak for the company, and one they had difficulty containing once the first video hit the internet.

Fast forward to April 22, and fans of one of Tyler Perry’s popular shows are raising a stink as its new season was suddenly pulled from the platform, despite premiering as a surprise on April 15. So what’s the show and what happened?

Fans Complain ‘The Oval’ Season 7 Is No Longer on Paramount+

Back in March of this year, it was announced that Paramount+ would officially absorb BET+ into its platform in June. That seemingly meant all the new programming from BET+ would roll out on Paramount+ then. So imagine the shock when 22 episodes of The Oval Season 7 premiered on Paramount+ on April 15. Fans of the show and subscribers of the latter platform seemed to be quite pleased, as they were able to binge the drama’s new round of episodes.

Unfortunately, if you happened to be one of Paramount+ subscribers who weren’t fast enough to view all 22 episodes of Season 7 before today, you missed out. Show fans have been taking to social media to complain about the unwelcome surprise that the episodes are now gone. Checking to verify, only the first six seasons of The Oval are available on Paramount+ as of publication. Take a peek at a few of the complaints about this from fans.

Why Did Paramount+ Pull ‘The Oval’ Season 7?

Again, as of publication, it doesn’t appear that Paramount+ provided a reason for pulling the new episodes of The Oval. While one would assume the backtracking was a move of the streamer to honor the original stated commitment of absorbing BET+ in full in June, that theory may be debunked by another stunning fact. Looking at BET+, Season 7 doesn’t seem to be there either. It sounds like we will all have to wait for now until we get an explanation about what’s going on.
