Fans of Taylor Sheridan’s 1883 have been waiting anxiously since the Season 1 finale (December 2021). Now Paramount+ has officially confirmed that Season 2 will return with 10 brand-new episodes, continuing the Dutton family saga across the untamed American frontier. Every episode will drop weekly on Sundays, giving viewers a reason to tune in each weekend.
Season 1 of 1883 transported audiences to the late 19th century, following the Dutton family as they migrated westward in search of a new life. Led by James and Margaret Dutton (Tim McGraw and Faith Hill), the family faced harsh terrain, deadly weather, and hostile encounters along the way. Elsa Dutton (Isabel May) delivered the emotional core of the story, while Sam Elliott’s Thomas Duncan provided wisdom and gravitas. From heartbreak to resilience, danger to triumph, Season 1 set a gripping tone that left viewers eager for more.
Season 2: Bigger, Bolder, and More Epic
Paramount+ has confirmed that Season 2 will deliver 10 new episodes, expanding the Dutton saga with deeper character arcs, new conflicts, and heightened drama. Returning cast members Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Isabel May, and Sam Elliott continue to anchor the story, while new characters promise to enrich the narrative. Expect emotional intensity, life-or-death stakes, and sweeping cinematic storytelling that has become a hallmark of the series. Taylor Sheridan returns as the creator and executive producer, ensuring the same vision and tone fans loved in Season 1.
