The FBI has been briefed on the disappearance of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie’s mom in Arizona — as cops revealed the missing 84-year-old has physical ailments that limit her ability to move.
Authorities have been searching for Nancy Guthrie ever since she was reported missing in Tucson by her family over the weekend.
The feds have since been looped in on the search, NBC crime reporter Tom Winter told the “Today” show early Monday.
“They were able to get out helicopters last night that use infrared cameras. They’ve got drones up,” he said.
“They’ve enlisted the help of the Customs and Border Protection — obviously, not too far from the border there in Mexico. They have some special resources. The FBI is also aware of this case as well.”
Guthrie was not known to have any illnesses such as dementia or Alzheimer’s and was of “good sound mind” — but officials were concerned about her physical health, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said.
“She has some physical ailments that limit her ability to move around,” Nanos said.
It comes after authorities had earlier revealed that homicide detectives had been brought in to scour the elderly woman’s home, where she was last seen on Saturday night.

The sheriff acknowledged it wasn’t standard procedure to bring in a homicide team for a missing person case.
“This one stood out because of what was described to us at the scene and what we located just looking at the scene,” Nanos said.
He didn’t elaborate further but added he wasn’t ruling out foul play.
“I don’t need to tell you, this is very concerning to us; we don’t typically get the sheriff out on a scene like this, but it is very concerning,” Nanos said.
“We hope we find her safe and sound, but we are very concerned.”
Nancy was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Saturday outside her home in Catalina Foothills, north of Tucson. A relative called 911 to report her missing around noon on Sunday, authorities said.
As the search continued, Savannah Guthrie was absent from the anchor desk on Monday.
“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers, and messages of support,” the host said in a statement read out by her co-anchors at the start of the show.
“Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom.”
“We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900,” she added.
Nancy has made various guest appearances on “Today” since Savannah joined the program back in 2011.
