BREAKING: Suspect in Monique Tepe and her husband’s murder apprehended: Horrifying truth about her ex-husband, a doctor

Michael McKee, 39, the ex-husband of Monique Tepe, has been charged with the murder of Monique and her husband, Spencer Tepe.

They two were found shot to death in their Weinland park home December 30th, not far from where their two young children were sleeping.

McKee, who is currently in an Illinois county jail, was married to Monique for just under two years.

The couple wed in Aug. 2015, and their divorce was finalized in June 2017, shortly after Monique filed for divorce.

According to the divorce decree obtained by ABC 6, the divorce was awarded to Monique on the grounds of incompatibility.

The decree granted McKee the Virginia home the couple shared during the marriage, while Monique was living in Westerville at the time of the divorce.

The couple had no children, and no spousal support was awarded.

McKee, who was employed as a resident at a Roanoke hospital during the divorce, later received a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Maryland and worked at medical facilities in Las Vegas and California.

Records show McKee was living in Chicago and working as a vascular surgeon in Rockford when he was arrested in Rockford Saturday morning.

McKee holds a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and earned a medical degree from Ohio State University, in 2014.
