Canadian actor Stewart McLean, known for his appearances in Virgin River and Murder in a Small Town, has been found dead after being reported missing earlier this month.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) confirmed that McLean’s remains were located and identified in the Lions Bay area of British Columbia. The actor was last seen at his residence on May 15 and was reported missing three days later.
Authorities say the investigation remains active as detectives continue reviewing evidence, surveillance footage, and witness accounts to establish a timeline of McLean’s movements before his disappearance.
In a statement, McLean’s longtime talent agency, Lucas Talent, remembered him as a respected member of Vancouver’s film and television community whose kindness and humor left a lasting impression on those around him.
