[CARTEL RANSOM] Virgin River’s Jack Sheridan Is Forced To Pay Mel’s Wedding Fund To Save Charmaine’s Kidnapped Twins!
Charmaine thought the worst was behind her after finally giving birth, but the nightmare in Virgin River is just getting started. A massive Season 8 script leak reveals that the ruthless cartel boss Calvin—revealed to be the twins’ biological father—is back, desperate, and crossing an unforgivable line.
Weaponizing His Own Blood Calvin is currently being hunted by a rival cartel faction and needs massive funds to flee the country. In a horrifying twist, he kidnaps his own newborn twins right out from under Charmaine’s nose. But Calvin knows Charmaine is broke. Instead of ransoming the babies back to their mother, he targets the one man with a hero complex big enough to pay: Jack Sheridan.

The Wedding Fund Jack is forced into a devastating corner. The ransom demand matches the exact amount of the life savings he and Mel have set aside for their upcoming wedding and their new home. If Jack goes to the police, the babies could disappear forever. To save the children of the woman who lied to him for months, Jack will have to sacrifice the beautiful future he promised Mel.
💬 WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Would you forgive Jack if he gave away his entire future with Mel to save Charmaine’s babies from the ruthless Calvin? Tell us what you would do in the comments, and don’t forget to click the link below for the full kidnapping plot! 👇
‘Virgin River’ Fans, You’re Going to Be Majorly Surprised About This News
(Netflix)
This story contains spoilers from Virgin River season 7.
Season 7 of Virgin River may have aired a few weeks ago, but there are so many questions we need answered.
The latest installment of the hit drama dropped on Netflix in March, and everyone was excited to see what was happening with their favorite characters. With Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) looking to expand their family, Brie Sheridan (Zibby Allen) figuring out her romance with Dan Brady (Ben Hollingsworth), and Hope McCrea (Annette O’Toole) struggling in her marriage with Vernon “Doc” Mullins (Tim Matheson), there’s a lot to explore.
So, viewers are likely interested in when new episodes will premiere.
Will there be a new season of Virgin River in 2026?
As of right now, Virgin River will not return with new episodes in 2026.
Despite what seems like a bit of bad news, don’t lose hope just yet! Tim recently gave the best Instagram update, and it turns out Virgin River is officially in production for season 8.
“And just like that, we’re officially back on set filming season 8 of #VirginRiver!” he wrote in the caption on April 22. “Here’s a little behind-the-scenes from season 7… we have a lot of fun behind those cameras, and I think that’s part of what makes the town feel so real 🙏🏻.”
Naturally, Tim’s announcement about Virgin River had fans in the comments hyped up.
“Happy filming! We love what you guys churn out for the fans. ❤️❤️❤️,” one person wrote. “I’m so happy that you’re going to shoot season 8 soon!! These shooting photos are too beautiful 💖✨,” another agreed. “Cannot wait!! Best show ever ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥,” a different follower added.
But fans should note that Virgin River may look a little different when season 8 eventually airs on Netflix. Mainly, a casting shakeup occurred at the end of season 7, with Marco Grazzini (Mike Valenzuela) and Lauren Hammersley (Charmaine Roberts) both exiting the show ahead of the new season.
No matter the case, we’ll be counting down the days to see what Virgin River has in store!
