Outlander, the wildly popular romantic time travel drama, is coming to an end more than a decade after it first premiered. Based on the book series by Diana Gabaldon, the show stars Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan as Claire and Jamie Fraser, who first meet when Claire unwittingly travels from the 20th century to 1743. They fall in love, despite Claire being married in her modern timeline, and over the show’s seven past seasons, their love has spanned decades (and centuries) and spread across the continents; it all comes to a head in these final episodes. Outlander Season 8 premiered on Starz on March 6, with new episodes arriving weekly on Fridays thereafter. The series finale, titled “And the World Was All Around Us,” is scheduled to air on May 15 at 8 p.m. ET.

Where to watch past seasons of Outlander

Seasons 1-7 of Outlander are available on the Starz app, and on Netflix.

When will Outlander Season 8 arrive on Netflix?

While there are some countries, including Japan, South Korea, France and India, will be able to watch the latest episodes of Outlander on Netflix, in the U.S., the rollout is very different. As with past seasons of Outlander, U.S. subscribers will only be able to watch the show after the Starz exclusivity window concludes, and in previous seasons, that’s been about two years. (In fact, the second half of Season 7, which came out in November, 2024, still hasn’t made its way to Netflix yet.) So with that timeline in mind, expect Season 8 to arrive some time in 2028.
