JUST FEW MINUTES AGO – Midnight Raid in Sydney: Armed Police Storm Luxury Home, Foil Alleged Public Shooting Plot

The 24-year-old was arrested following a dramatic raid on a house on Isis St, Fairfield, on Sunday.

Heavily-armed tactical police officers first stormed the luxury duplex in the city’s southwest at 11pm.

One day later, detectives returned to the same Fairfield house and arrested the man at 8.20pm.

NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said authorities believe the foiled plot “was to be a targeted attack”.

“And again, my credit goes out to the investigators who have worked tirelessly whilst we have been performing the amount of shifts that we have to make sure we quite rightly support Jewish Australians who are directly targeted at Bondi but also the rest of the community,” Commissioner Lanyon told reporters during a press conference on Tuesday.

“Our investigations haven’t stopped. You will see numerous arrests made by Strike Force Raptor and other units that are actually keeping the community safe.

“We’re not focused on letting any of those crimes go. So whether it’s robberies, whether it’s woundings, whatever it is, the NSW Police will be there.

“So again, I’m really proud of the work to actually put the 24-year-old male before court this morning. It’s a great arrest.”
